It shouldn’t be a surprise that the weather and our local climate in general can have a tremendous effect on your car’s paint job. From snow in the winter to the blazing sun in the summer, every minute your car is exposed is another minute it’s in a battle with the weather.
What’s someone to do to protect their car? Plenty!
- Any weather can cause damage to your car
It could be the sunniest day on record without a cloud in the sky, but your car is still taking direct sunlight rays. Regardless of your paint job or any protective coating you have on your car, rain, sun, or snow can cause a slight deterioration in your paint job slowly over time.
- Even the air can damage your car’s body
It doesn’t matter where you live because the air quality and the tiny particulates carried by the wind can cause damage, too. Live in a highly pollinated area? That can cause damage if you don’t clean your car regularly. What about the snow? Salt from road treatments can wreak havoc, too.
- Treat hail damage immediately
When hail damages your car, it does so much more than create dents and dings on your car. In case hail causes damage to your car’s paint, it would expose your car’s metal to the elements which can rust over time.
